Overview
Sylveon VMAX Rapid Strike is a perfect card to add to your Rapid Strike deck. Its second attack, Max Harmony has 70 base damage and does extra 30 damage for each type of Pokemon on your Bench. The Energy Cost for this attack is 3 Colorless Energy. Having all Colorless Energy for attack make Sylveon VMAX compatible with any type of deck. Max Harmony will have highest damage of 220 damage if you managed to setup 5 different types of Pokemon on your Bench.
The other attack, Cherish Touch requires 1 Psychic Energy to use and can heal 120 from 1 of your Benched Pokemon if you attached 1 Energy from your hand to that Pokemon by using this attack. In a way, this attack can be used to accelerate Energy setup for your Benched Pokemon. On top of that, you can attach not only Basic Energy also Special Energy by using Cherish Touch.
Although Sylveon is a Fairy type Pokemon, it becomes Psychic Type in the current Sword & Shield era. But, it still inherits Metal weakness from Fairy Type so it is definitely not good against popular Metal Pokemon like Zacian V. It has quite low HP [310]. among VMAX Pokemon
Its pre-evolution, Sylveon V Rapid Strike Ability Dream Gift has an effect of searching 1 Item from your deck, But, your turn ends after you used that Ability. Getting specific Item Card can help you in many ways such as setting up Pokemon. drawing cards or finding Pokemon Tool to change the tide of the game.
Different Types Pokemon
Since Sylveon VMAX Rapid Strike attack Max Harmony damage relies on different types of Pokemon, your deck definitely need to have at least 5 different types of Pokemon to get max damage. Rapid Strike Pokemon are recommended as their effects are more compatible with Sylvemon VMAX Rapid Strike instead of normal Pokemon.
Octillery Rapid Strike [Water Type] is mainly used for searching Rapid Strike Cards for Energy setup, Pokemon setup or drawing cards.
Blaziken VMAX Rapid Strike [Fire Type] can be used to accelerate Energy setup for your Bench Pokemon by using Max Blaze. Also, it can counter against Metal deck which can OHKO Sylveon VMAX Rapid Strike.
Zeraroa V Rapid Strike [Lightning Type] attack Cross Fist can snipe and OHKO your opponent's low HP Pokemon and then you can take extra Prize Cards easily.
Crobat V [Dark Type] is mainly there for drawing cards to speed up your set up.
With the above Pokemon, your deck will now have 5 different types of Pokemon including Sylveon VMAX Rapid Strike. Additionally, having 3 different types [Psychic, Fire and Lightning] of attackers in your deck also increases your chance of getting damage when you meet with oppoent's Pokemon that has weakness against your attacker's type.
Energy
Aurora Energy is needed as it provides every type of Energy and can be used for attack that require specific type of Energy such as Cross Fist and Cherish Touch.
Since all the Rapid Strike attackers in this deck have an attack with 2 Colorless Energy, you can attach Rapid Strike Energy to those Pokemon to provide 2 Energy.
Pokemon Tool
Ribbon Badge is specifically designed for Sylveon VMAX and its effect reduce number of Prize Cards your opponent takes by 1 card when your Sylveon VMAX is knocked out. So, your opponent needs to knock out 3 Sylveon VMAX Rapid Strike to win the game. This will give your opponent a headache since 2 attacks are required to knock out VMAX Pokemon most of the time. In contrast, you only need to knock out 2 of your opponent's VMAX Pokemon to win the game.
